Venture Crew is the one of the coolest things about Boy Scouting. Venture Crew is open to Boys Scouts who have achieved senior ranks (Star rank or higher) or are age 14 or older.
Venture Crew challenges Boy Scouts to use skills they have developed during their scouting career. Troop 230 Venture Crew has participated in numerous high adventure trips such as hiking in the Yosemite Wilderness Area in California, canoeing in the Allagash Wilderness Waterway in northern Maine, hiking Mauna Loa in Hawaii or traversing glaciers along the Wonderland trail in Mt. Rainier National Park.
Venture Crew is a commitment to a team of other Boys Scouts who share the same desire for challenging adventure. The Crew plans all phases of the trips including the program to prepare for the trip including fund raising and trip logistics.
Joining is easy. Simply talk to the current Venture Crew Chief (Alex); the past Venture Crew Chief (Robert) or one of the senior Scout Venture Crew Members: Todd, Vince, or Anthony.
