Troop 230 at a Glance...

Troop 230 originated about 70 years ago in 1937. The current scout master, Mr. Heinz has been providing Troop 230 with his wisdom and leadership skills for close to 25 years.  The scouts feel he is someone they can meet with to talk about problems or ways to help participate in the various troop activities.

Our scouts come from various Cub Scout Packs in the Yardley and Lower Makefield area.  These include Pack 95, 46, 10 and 30.  The troop has numerous recruiting activities to acclimate a new Cub that include fun meetings with cooking, competitions and scout activities used toward merit badge requirements.

Meetings are held every Tuesday from August to June from 7:30 – 9:00 at St. Ignatius Church in Yardley.  During the summer months the troop is preparing for summer camp or at LMT pool.  Scouts are required to meet in full uniform for meetings.

Every year Troop 230 takes a weekend ski trip and there are monthly camping trips that include rock climbing, biking or trekking along the Appalachian Trail.
